Power Schedules

Control over capacity and energy costs by managing energy consumption at the right time.

The pressure on the power grid is increasing. Organizations are facing peak loads, grid congestion, and rising energy costs. With Power Schedules, Maxem helps organizations spread their energy consumption in a controlled manner throughout the day. This better aligns energy demand, available capacity, and operational priorities.

What are Power Schedules

More and more organizations are reaching the limits of their grid capacity. At the same time, electrification, charging infrastructure, and dynamic energy rates are creating an increasingly complex energy demand. Organizations are still insufficiently managing when energy is used.

Power Schedules make it possible to plan charging capacity at times that suit you, distributing the limit of your charging plaza over the day. This allows you to avoid peak times or set limits based on time-bound energy contracts. The result: more control over peak loads, energy costs, and grid capacity.

Why Power Schedules are becoming increasingly important

Explained

Why Power Schedules are becoming increasingly important

Many systems only show where energy is used. Maxem goes further. Our energy management platform helps organizations actively manage capacity, charging, and energy consumption. Not as a standalone tool, but as a management layer over the entire energy system.

By managing with Power Schedules, energy consumption is better spread throughout the day, aligned with available grid capacity, managed according to energy rates, and adjusted to operational priorities.

How does it work?

Explained

How does it work?

With Power Schedules, you set a maximum charging limit per time slot, similar to an agenda. For example: between 07:00 and 09:00 a maximum of 20kW, then 50kW.

You do this because the morning peak often coincides with high electricity rates or high building usage. Off-peak hours (night, afternoon) are cheaper, and you can release more capacity then.

Maxem then automatically adjusts the SLB or DLB limits based on that schedule, without manual intervention.

Benefits of Power Schedules

More control over peak loads:

choose when and how much power is available for your chargers.

Lower energy costs:

save up to 10% on your energy costs by charging during off-peak hours.

Prepared for grid congestion:

get more out of existing grid capacity without needing to expand immediately.

Reliable operation:

ensure energy remains available where and when it's needed.

Scalably designed:

Power Schedules grow with your organization's energy demand.

Smarter solar charging:

use more of your own solar power by shifting the charging demand to hours of high production.

For whom?

Power Schedules are interesting for organizations with charging infrastructure, high energy demand, limited grid capacity, dynamic energy rates, and multiple energy assets.
